30 combined years of experience in education and providing direct counseling and psychotherapy. 13 years of teaching psychology, counseling skills and techniques at college and graduate level. Community adult and adolescent counseling centers, hospital programs for adolescent and adult, domestic violence counseling centers, special education center; was a contracted and approved counseling provider for Juvenile and Adult Probation Departments; am a referral source for variety of community and social service agencies; and am an approved independent provider for several managed healthcare systems and employee assistance programs including MCC, VBH, USBH, UBH, Cigna PPO, MBH, Metrahealth, Anthem Health, Blue Choice, PacificCare EAP and Performance Plus.


Focus on adult work: depressive reactions, adjustment difficulties in mid and late adulthood, personality issues causing difficulties in occupational and personal functioning, anger related marital difficulties including jealousy and infidelity issues and race and multicultural with a special interest in Asian American issues.


Eclectic approach with a preference toward an individual, directive and interpretative style, includes use of short term/focused therapy as well as psychodynamic oriented approaches. Prefer moderate term treatment duration although brief assessment and intervention are provided when dictated by a client's goals and circumstances.


Self-Pay, Insurance reimbursement, sliding scale and exceptions considered for financial hardship. (Several indemnity and managed care insurance plans).  Consultation and Training Fees based on total event and/or hourly basis.  Separate or discounted rate for non-profit and/or special needs groups.
